    Great input.

What is the best inexpensive service for a small business to use for press releases?

I think it depends on the purpose a company has for a press release. I use MyPRGenie.com most often, especially for this blog, because it’s the most cost effective service for my particular needs. But I would say that which service you use depends on your industry and your needs.

When I consider which service to use, I look at reach (their media database and connections), geography, distribution options, SEO and social media sharing options, and cost.

I like MyPRGenie because it has a link with PR Newswire, so I can use the same dashboard to release with two services, and it has good social media and SEO tools. When I handled releases for public companies, I used Businesswire and PR Newswire because of the regulatory requirements on disclosures. I’ve also used Press Box and PRWeb with good results.

Shop around, and pick the service that matches your needs and budget. Thanks for reading and taking time to comment!
